Overall great experience. Started off with an estimate that was open and transparent. They took care of submitting the paper work and engineering with the city. At the installation they took great care to make sure that there was no internal damage to the house as they installed the piers. Very fast, they were able to get 7 piers installed in a day and a half. Everything was done as described in the prelim work.

Basement Drainage Repair
This is an excellent company that that I strongly recommend for any basement drainage work. My house was built on one of the wettest spots on Beacon hill. I had a sump pump installed by a competing company 10 years ago but was always worried about it failing and flooding our basement. A year ago, I wanted a more effective and non-mechanical solution to our damp basement issue. I had four companies come in and bid on the project. In the end I chose Robbins and Company not because they were the cheapest but because they offered the most comprehensive solution, the project manager (Lee) was the most knowledgeable, and they offered the best guarantee on their work. In addition, the company has been in existence for over 50 years. You simply don’t stay that long if you offer shoddy work.
Over a two day period, the crew busted through concrete in three rooms, dug a new trench, installed a multi-flow system. The system worked perfectly after it was installed. Unfortunately, after a year, the flow began to slow and I called the company back in to see what the problem was. I cannot stress enough how responsive they were. A crew immediately came over to check things out and eventually discovered the water’s high iron content (manifested in an orange type goo) was blocking the fiber covering the system they installed. The crew immediately went to work uninstalling the one year old system and installing a new modified one that now effectively drains water from the basement. This was a complete redo for them. I know every company strives to get things done right the first time, however, sometimes we have to deal with curve balls. This is when it is important that you work with a company that honors their warranty and Robbins and Company is one of those companies. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

As I liquidated my deceased mother’s estate and sold her residence, we had the need for a major repair to the foundation which was caused by an earthquake. The damage amounted to approximately 1/2 of the perimeter of the house and the crack was so large that we could see light coming through it. I couldn’t have been happier with the result, as was our buyer. These guys were thorough, prompt and dependable. They used their technological skills to determine the amount of settling of the various rooms involved, and brought the house securely up to level again. They were great!

His knowledge, experience, and thoroughness is something you rarely see during free estimates from other companies. Due to the urgency of my situation, Robbins and Co. was able to fit me in on standby and get the job started very quickly. Jorge and his crew were friendly, professional, cleaned up after each day, and finished the job a day early. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a permanent solution to a basement that floods every time we get a good rainstorm in the Seattle area.

Settlement Issues
Steve Wicklund came out today to do an inspection of settlement issues on a mobile home we are buying, and I just want to say I really appreciate his honest advice, that it was not a concern, that the wall, while it is settling, is merely decorative, and the main supports for the house are in good shape. This was a huge relief for us, as it may have held up our sale and our dream if he’d have said it was going to require a lot of expensive work to fix.
I just appreciated the honest answer, even if it means he may not get a job that way. This house we’re buying may have a 10 year life left, and then we will be moving it out and putting in a new house. I’ll definitely be keeping your business card to call on again when we need it.

On Monday, March 24, I called your company to request someone come and look at a situation I have with a sinking problem of my front porch. Yesterday, March 25, one of your employees, a Doug Skeem came to look at the problem. He was very thorough; he came inside the house, and also took a look under the house.
After he finished, he advised that we do nothing at this point as the problem has settled as much as it was going to. He was very honest and courteous, I admire that because he could have made a contract to break out the front porch and do a lot of work which we don’t need.

We had some work done by a good company in August. The two men who did the work were very polite. They did their job professionally. Our house is in the neighborhood of 60 years old. It has always had cracks little noises especially at night. Ever since we had the work done I have heard only a couple of creaks.
